In House R&D

Translational research is the basis for the testing performed at Lipomic Laboratory. We are committed to the adoption of the latest technologies, adopting stringent internal and external quality control mechanisms and making planned investments in research and development in order to provide the highest quality and most cost-effective testing services. As a Lab needs to have an exhaustive test menu, thus it is important to add new tests whenever there is a demand due to increased awareness. Some of these tests give an added value to the organization and an edge over the peer labs.LCMSMS

The R&D division plays a major role in fulfilling these ever growing demands by evaluating and coordinating the overall developmental activities related to new tests and technologies.  We have the expertise to create, implement and validate tests across a wide range of technologies using highly sophisticated instruments, including Gas Chromatograph, LCMSMS, etc.

CVD- LHC has collaborated with a leading heart surgeon to develop In Vitro Diagnostic Multivariate Index Assay (IVDMIA) for certain conditions related to cardio vascular diseases based on dried blood Lipidomics. The focus is on developing a DBS based product with a potential world-wide market.Sample preparation room

Neonatal Sepsis – LHC has a DBT funded Indo-Spanish Project for developing Biosensors for detection of neonatal sepsis, the largest cause of neonatal mortality in India. The project involves Spain Biosensor Company and leading medical experts from India. LHC is the leading Indian consortium. The expected outcome of the project is to develop a point-of-care (PoC) biosensor product that will have a major impact on neonatal healthcare in India and possible developing countries across the world.
